My feet have two blisters-- am wearing compeed since Logrono, and last night added a moleskin under the left big toe. I had the Jaco-tren guy come to get my pack after 10 k today, because my shoulders are killing me, but my legs are still ok. They charge 7 e to take the pack to the next town. I take 6 naproxens daily, and 2 fish oil caps. I am glad my blue hat works well in the hot sun. We find yogurt is good to add to early morning coffee, bread and jam, to get some protein. Andy gets a tortilla with jamon about 10:30, so I can rest and get coffee. We try to get going by 7:30 because it gets so hot by 1:00. Today we need about 3 more hours to get to Astorga. Cotton balls are great to help with preventing rubbing skin. Andy took a video of me reading "bread for the stardust pilgrims" in front of the Burgos cathedral--- very exciting. I am grateful for my shoes and double socks. A lot of people are wearing Merrells with vibram insoles. The silk shirts wash easily and dry fast. We hang socks on the pack with safety pins. The solar panel (sun tactics) has been the envy of the pilgrims-- it works great--- about 1 hr in the sun is enough to recharge the iPhone. It looks like a butterfly on the backpack. So far, no fleas or bedbugs, thank God! More later, love to all!

Martina,
I am so enjoying your posts. Following along your path with words and photos is close to being there. I especially enjoyed the early morning shadows of you and Andy. Your descriptive accounts are delightful. Your spirits sound strong even through blisters, and aching joints.
Keep the faith,
Laurie
